The camp hosts were really good. Bathrooms clean. They alerted us about a bear in the area, they were accessible for reserving another night.

So the solar water pump which was fixed last year for the first time in 3 years, was again not working. It looked like kids had pulled out the buttons. Only one of the krank pumps had a handle. The camp host took off one that was dangling by a thread. So where we were the old iron pump was the only one working. Some days the water had such a strong iron flavor, I couldn't drink it. Perhaps if the rangers had to host the campground, they would find the problems and fix them. I still like the campground, but it would be better working water pumps. After my fall hiking, I couldn't pump the iron handle anymore. Thank goodness for grandsons!
It didn't look like the bathroom floors got mopped everyday (as in the past). Even when they were, they weren't very clean.
Pete lake is a great hike. Lots of shade, not too much change in elevation. Reminds me a lot of Snow Lake, but with lots less people!!

Good camp grounds. It would be nice if more of the well pumps worked. Better generator rules, allow only quiet generators.

Our spot (#30) was gorgeous and accommodated five people and three tents with no problems. Our host was very informative will definitely be up there again!

From Seattle, take I-90 east for nearly 80 miles. Take exit 80 toward Salmon La Sac and turn left on Bullfrog Road. Continue to the 2nd traffic circle and take the second exit onto WA-903 north. Continue onto Salmon La Sac road. The campground is on the left, just past Cayuse Campground.
From Cle Elum, travel north on Highway 903 / Salmon la Sac Road for 19 miles. Stay left on Salmon La Sac road to the campground. The campground is on the left, just past Cayuse Campground.
Salmon La Sac Campground is accessible via I-90, approximately 80 miles west of the campground, with exit 80 leading to Bullfrog Road. Additionally, WA-903 provides direct access from Cle Elum, traveling north for about 19 miles.
Elevation: 733 feet

Policies & Rules
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
