Sou'wester Lodge

Honestly I wasn’t sure if I’d like it, but I was so impressed! There were delightful surprises all around the property and they kept the bathrooms clean. Better than some other fancier places I’ve been too.

I drove my own van. It was muddy and I was worried about getting stuck. I did get stuck but on the beach, not at The Sou. I called the front desk and right when they were about to give me the phone number of someone to help me, a stranger offered to tow me. Point is, I turned to The Sou and they were there for me.

If you’re on the fence like I was, do it.

We had the MOST special weekend! We stayed in the completely charming & adorable Estrallita. The live music was sweet, the staff were so friendly & helpful, and the VHS & record players added so much color to our stay. Do yourself a favor & book the private spa experience! Perhaps our new valentines tradition… or maybe for a summer visit. Regardless, we will definitely be coming back!!

This was the second time staying at the Sou'Wester and it was even more lovely than the first. We came in the middle of January and we found a very sleepy quiet campground. Just what we wanted! They surprised us both with flamingos outside our trailer, and a happy birthday card for my partner along with a chocolate bar. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. Make sure you take advantage of the sauna!

Every time we go to the Sou'wester, it is always an awesome experience! Love trying a different trailer every time and have stayed inside the Lodge as well. Always friendly service and if you need help or anything else, they are always VERY accommodating. We tell everyone about this awesome place and have brought others with us. The town of Seaview is also a delight! Nice and small and perfect entrances to the beaches in the area. We've stopped going to Seaside because it has gotten too big and most of the quaintness is gone. Seaview, on the other hand is tiny, cozy, and VERY unique. If you get out there, give the Sou'wester a try! You'll be so glad that you did!

I love the Sou’wester! We have stayed here 4 times now and we always immediately start planning our next trip on the way home.

This time I had an issue with the trailer I had initially rented due to a smell that was giving me a headache. I have a lot of dumb allergies/sensitivities. The person at the front desk was quick and kind to accommodate us with a new one (a super cool bus!) and waived the room change fee. We came out here to relax and just enjoy our quiet time and I’m so grateful for their kindness and understanding.

Everything here is so well thought out and intentional. The little details in each space always delight me. Most spaces are also dog friendly which means we can we can enjoy our trip with our babies.

Big shout out to the Thrifty thrift store trailer, where I usually end up spending a good chunk of change. Well worth it every time.
