Beautiful area to explore and the cabin is fantastic...no running water.

the cabin had no usable sink. the rugs were dirty and ancient. the mattress cover was stained and dirty. the website said the cabin had no potable water. so we brought our own. but we couldn’t cook inside due to the lack of a sink. we weren’t prepared to cook outside.
i called immediately and asked for some kind of refund. i was denied. TERRIBLE!

It was much further from Olympic National Park than I thought. It's pretty run down and the lack of water is a bit difficult. It is also really isolated. In retrospect, I wish we had stayed in Port Angeles.

Louella Cabin was clean, warm and the kitchen had all we needed. It is in a beautiful easily accessible area and a great jumping off point to Olympic peninsula recreation. The mattresses in the bunk room were very uncomfortable.

The little house is very comfortable. The gas heater is powerful and warms the place right up on cold nights. Washing dishes in a dish pan works ok. The "outhouse" is at a good location. Like the last of the land. My only complaint is that it is in a more residential area than I thought it would be. My own home is in the same type of setting. Didn't really feel like I was cabin camping. Lovely relaxing stay otherwise.

Stayed for a week in the winter season. Probably a better venue as an overnight.
Not the quiet retreat I was looking for, but more a spot for folks who want to be ten minutes from town.
Winter tip: Keep the doors to the bedrooms closed for consistent warmth—and sleep on the futon.
Some points to consider:
Bring some ear plugs as the propane stove ticks and pings like crazy, and will keep you awake if you're a light sleeper.
Wheeling parties tend to use the porto-jon, and people pull up to the house to check things out.

To all the people complaining about this cabin: read the facility description! We found it exactly as advertised and very much enjoyed our stay.

What a gem!! This cabin was clean, super cozy and warm, and very spacious.
It's a bit of a drag not having running water, but you know what? If you did not bring enough in, you are minutes away from a grocery to get more! The out door potty was clean (had just been serviced), and not gross at all. We were also delighted to discover a binder full of maps and locations of near hikes...we really needed that. Also, there was a closet full of puzzles, games and the best grandma romance novels you could hope for (Harlequin of course!). No cell service at all. Fine for us, but if you need to work remotely, not a good option. Disconnect when you come here!!
