Policies & Rules

Arrival & departure

  • Check-in is from 2 PM to 10 PM; check-out is at Noon.

Safety & rules

  • Be courteous and respectful. Follow park roads and walkways. Keep noise and lights down during quiet hours (10 PM โ€“ 6 AM).
  • Inflatable structures need prior approval from City Hall via application.
  • Illegal drugs are prohibited. Alcohol is allowed only with a special permit or if you have a campsite reservation.
  • Children must be supervised at all times.
  • Firearms are prohibited unless licensed and discharging is not allowed within city limits. Other weapons and fireworks are also prohibited.
  • The City of Toledo is not liable for lost or damaged belongings.
  • Alcohol and legal intoxicants are not allowed outside your camp site. Illicit drugs are prohibited in the park as per State Law.
  • You must be at least 18 years old to rent a campsite. Campers under 18 must be with an adult.
  • Alcohol consumption in kitchen facilities requires permission, proof of insurance, and a banquet permit. Alcohol must stay in rented areas and be served in unbreakable containers.
  • Users must clean the kitchen after use and report any issues. Decorations are allowed but should not damage the facility and must be removed after use.

Vehicles & parking

  • Park only in designated areas. Speed limit is 5 MPH, and off-road vehicles are not allowed.
  • Do not block roadways. Stay on prepared surfaces while parking. Avoid parking in grass and between campsites.

Wildlife & food storage

  • Do not forage, collect, or damage wildlife and plants. Use trash receptacles and keep the area clean.

Pets

  • Leashed pets are allowed but must be controlled. Owners must clean up after pets and are liable for damages. No horses or livestock allowed.

Local regulations

  • Violating these rules may result in penalties under Toledo City Code and other applicable laws.

Cancellation policy

  • Reservations can be made up to 365 days ahead and must be paid in full to secure your site. Keep your receipt for verification.
  • Cancel kitchen reservations at least 48 hours in advance to avoid fees.

Site capacity

  • Each campsite needs a registered guest at check-in. Camping is not permitted between numbered sites. Use wooden blocks under stabilizers and jacks when parked.
  • Camping is limited to a maximum of 14 consecutive days and 28 days per calendar year. After 14 days, you must camp elsewhere for at least 7 days before returning.

Utilities

  • Do not tamper with electrical hook-ups. Disconnect water hoses during freezing temperatures. Report mechanical issues to the Park Host.
  • Dispose of gray or black water only at the designated dump station in the park.

Fires & fuel

  • Campfires are allowed only in designated fire rings or approved self-contained units at least 6 inches off the ground. Unattended fires are prohibited, and fire bans must be observed.
  • Ensure all fires and BBQs are fully extinguished before leaving the facility.

  • By signing below, the undersigned agrees to adhere strictly to the rules, regulations, and policies set forth in this document for the use of Kemp Olson Memorial Park Facilities. The undersigned acknowledges responsibility for the care of the premises and agrees to indemnify the City of Toledo against any claims arising from their use of the facilities. Compliance with all local, state, and federal laws is required, and any violations may result in immediate expulsion from the park without refund and subject to an applicable fines under City, State or Federal law.
