Thank you all for a really good 4th of July weekend!! Ed,the camp host was awesome!! Took care of issues but wasn't a grouch about it...
My husband bought us a really delicious rhubarb crumble treat.. so good!!
And we came home with a cute little howling wolf pup picture for our house...
Store/restaurant staff, you guys are all awesome!! Can't wait to see you all again!
Just an fyi....wifi only worked for my AT&T phone next to the store, normally I wouldn't care but had my dad in the hospital and I was a little concerned...
Otherwise it was a dang near perfect weekend!!

Very disappointed! The cabin was dirty ,in the sink was leftover meat chunks and bone pieces and on the floor old chapstick and wrappers a nasty dirt pile on edge of shower toilet paper almost empty no soap for the bathroom and the paper towel was also almost gone so had to find toilet paper since no one was available until Friday so if you want to use WiFi good luck no information on the password so out of luck ! Sums up the experience ! So sad this used to be a fun great place to visit ,very run down your better off going to the state park I hope they can get some help to restore the resort and clean it up

Our 3rd stay here. You can’t beat the spectacular location. Only we arrived at night and there were no signs to the entrance of the resort. We overshot, backtracked, and found it by memory. We had rented cabin #9 but again only a few cabins were marked and we had to make our way through the resort grounds with a flashlight to locate our cabin. Easy fix, just post some signs. Cabins are rustic but we don’t care. They are kind enough to accommodate our dogs. Unfortunately we were there on Monday and Tuesday so both the restaurant and store were closed. Bad timing as they have an excellent reputation for their meals. We knew the restaurant was going to be closed but did not anticipate the store being closed as well so we subsisted on meager food items we brought. Would not hesitate to return but will plan better to arrive when restaurant is open.

My family and our friends with young children rented RV sites 5&6 for the 4th of July weekend. We chose these sites because on their booking website and map it appeared that they were isolated from the rest of the campground, with no sites immediately behind or in front. My friend called and confirmed that the sites were private and that it would be quiet. Upon arrival, we found a large party with 5+ tents and multiple vehicles, loud music, etc immediately behind the RV hookups of our campsites. My friend went to the camp store to discuss the problem, and they sent the camp ground host. The host said that, indeed, those are new campsites that have not been added to the website. My friend voiced concern about the noise and her small children and the campground host said he would talk to the people. However, he suggested to my friend that he knew them and would be partying with them that night. Indeed, the music was blasting until 0130 am on the 4th and he was over drinking and smoking weed with them every night. There were also illegal fireworks set off. We talked with the staff at the camp store the next day and they were very polite and apologetic. The restaurant was quick and decent. The lake has a ton of fish and is beautiful. However, because this is a privately owned campground and I don't trust that this same experience wouldn't happen again, in the future I will book at the state campground next door.

Shout out to Ramon, Josh, Elaine, and Pepper!! My family and I had a fantastic time because of these amazing people. All of these awesome individuals went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. I really appreciate all of their outstanding hospitality, service, caring personality, and kindness. The food was out of this world, top tier and great portions (thanks Josh)! It's people like Ramon, Josh, Elaine, and Pepper that make our day brighter and better! These people who light up the atmosphere deserve recognition for their hard work and love. It was a joy and a blast at the Bonaparte Lake Resort, and we're so excited to come back again! 10/10 stars
