AYH Ranch Campground & Lodging

The owner does not take very well care of the cabin, there’s rat poop under the couch don’t believe me see for yourself you can also bere rats crawling around in the walls some nights.

the beds are uncomfortable oven shuts off every 5 minutes (doesn’t stay on)

the heater/furnace does not work we purchased a propane tank that cost $280 and the owner Judy stole it from us to use for her house, also the washer does not work but Judy says that it does.

She has banged outside the door several times if you don’t answer and eventually will let herself in to invade your privacy she also will try to up charge you if your staying for a long amount of time.

after staying here for 2 weeks the only thing nice I can say about this place is the fisher pound trail in the back.

What an incredible place to escape and relax! The AYH Ranch is the perfect Vashon Island getaway. Judy, the owner, is so sweet and accommodating, making you feel right at home.

We stayed in the Evergreen room, located in a lodge with a fantastic shared kitchen, dining area, and living room. It's a great setup. The WiFi is surprisingly good for a campground, which was a huge plus!

The property is amazing, especially for families. There’s a large barn full of games, a communal fire pit perfect for s'mores, and even cool teepees you can rent. We loved that it had access to the Fisher Pond trail for a nice walk (just a heads-up, dogs aren't allowed on that trail).

This is the perfect spot to disconnect from the hustle and bustle. While you're on the island, don't miss the local farmer's market and Nashi Orchards, which is just up the road. We can't wait to come back!

We had such a wonderful time at AYH - it truly is Vashon's best kept secret. The teepees offer the perfect balance of glamping and camping and it was truly amazing how much we loved having our fires INSIDE the teepee! Photos are great, but you really have to experience it in person.

I was surprised to read in reviews that anyone would complain about helicopters... It's not like the owners can control air space! If you want to avoid anything like that, you simply can't be that close to towns/cities. AYH was quiet, peaceful, and exactly what I needed!

I took my grandsons on a weekend adventure and this was the perfect spot for us. Judy was such a wonderful host. We loved the teepee and going on the hiking trails on the property. Saturday morning I enjoyed my coffee at The Vashon island Coffee Roasterie. We walked through the farmers market. Point Robinson is a must. The boys loved finding Oscar the Bird King! We had a wonderful lunch at Island Queen. Fantastic weekend adventure.

My friend and I had the best time staying here, the ground is perfect for tent camping with soft grass lined by tall wonderous trees. There's a communal building with a small kitchen and bathrooms - and it's warm if it ever gets a bit chilly. Our host Judy was super accommodating with lots of great recommendations too. Overall a wonderful, affordable place to stay. We can't wait to come back.
