WV Glamping Domes

We recently stayed in The Manor and absolutely LOVED it! So much so we didn’t want to leave. We were looking for a last minute getaway and WV Glamping domes were all booked except for the manor so we lucked out! Though it is their biggest dome we loved having the extra space to go between the two domes. It’s camping with massive upgrades. Plumbing, heating/cooling, and a private secluded hot tub. I loved falling asleep hearing the creek running and seeing the stars. Waking up in the mornings and seeing the birds flying overhead was super cool. I think we said “this is so cool!” at least 50 times. We just couldn’t get over the experience. The hosts are so fast to reply if you have any questions and live right on the farm if you were to ever need anything. Thankfully we didn’t run into any problems! If you’re looking for a cozy place to reconnect with nature, your loved ones, friends, etc. this is the place to go. WV Glamping definitely still has a part of our hearts there and we hope to be back in the fall to explore even more 🧡

My husband and I stayed with WV Glamping Domes For our honeymoon last November. The experience was absolutely five out of five stars. We stayed in two domes over the course of the week, Meadowlark and foxy Ridge. Both domes were clean and had everything we needed. The locations are very private and beautiful. One night we had an issue with one of the hot tubs, we reached out to the owner who responded within minutes and was at our dome immediately. He was able to resolve the issue quickly, was very accommodating and wanted to be sure that we were completely satisfied and having a good experience. He also reached out several nights to offer a tasting of his homemade hard cider, which was delicious! We both loved waking up on the farm drinking our coffee while watching the cows in the field, we would go out and visit local parks throughout the day and go on adventures, but it was just as wonderful to come home to these domes grill our dinner around the fire and soak in the hot tub after a long day. We can’t wait to come back!

We decided we needed an outdoor getaway for a birthday celebration Nov. 10. It has been several decades since we tried winter camping, so the idea of glamping was enticing. We picked the DaVinci dome for the hand-hewed curly maple hot tub. Our stay could not have been more magical! After hanging out by the fire for several hours while stoking the fire to heat the hot tub, we jumped in and soaked up the warmth with our breaths visible in the 34deg. Totally relaxed, we retreated to the dome and loved the toasty warmth from the woodstove. The heated mattress was a perfect touch for leaving the fire die out during the night. We were snug and cozy. The farm fresh eggs for breakfast were perfect. Timothy and Angela have created a little bit of heaven here in Alderson, If you make the trip, do drive the 2 miles to town to visit Stuart's BBQ & Seafood - the peel & eat shrimp are delicious!

After a crazy stressful year, we took advantage of the long weekend to have a getaway and were NOT disappointed. It was so peaceful and cozy - we were truly able to relax and celebrate our upcoming 18th wedding anniversary. It was only 15F the first day but our dome was so warm and toasty.

The bed was comfortable and the dome had everything we needed, we got to meet one of the owners and he was super kind and friendly. The hot tub was exactly what I needed and I was ready to make it my second home. I hope we can return in autumn or late summer to take in starry skies and warmer temperatures. It's close to several lovely towns and great hiking spots so you can find plenty to do over a weekend. If you need a getaway, this is a great escape!

I cannot say enough about how wonderful it was staying here at Meadowlark! Our anniversary trip was perfect and everything we had hoped for. The dome itself was adorable, everything was very clean and spacious. The views were absolutely to die for, both during the day and at night sitting around the fire pit where we saw some of the most beautiful stars I’ve ever seen. We had so much fun riding around on the golf cart too!! The property was super easy to navigate and the hosts are very responsive if you need any help. They have so many supplies/amenities on hand for guests, especially in the kitchen, and they even delivered a fantastic, hot breakfast right to our door. The cider is 10/10 a must try too! It’s evident so much thought & care has gone into making this a wonderful little retreat to get away from the rest of the world for a while. We can’t recommend it enough, especially staying in the Meadowlark dome!! Thanks for having us, we’ll definitely be coming back! :)
