Guyandotte Campground offers a beautiful, peaceful environment with clean facilities and friendly, helpful staff, making it a favorite for many families. Visitors enjoy the scenic drive, ample amenities, and the opportunity for fishing and kayaking. It is four miles from the unoccupied entrance gate to our campsite. The grass was mowed and it was a beautiful drive to our site, however our campsite was full of trash. Site 69 is right on the river and has an excellent view except for the baby diapers, old tires and lots of trash. There was a few months supply of cigarette butts on the ground. During the three days we were there we picked up and filled two trash bags. I think at one time this was a great campground and could be again.

Seems like every time we came camping a big storm came. This last time the power went off for 5 hours.
I think some of the trees need cut or trimmed around the campsites. A tree limb fell through the roof of Eddie's (host) camper. Those huge speed bumps need to be removed because even going slow, they are rough on the truck and the camper's shocks/springs.
For one thing they're not properly installed. They are suppose to be buried so many inches down in the ground not on top of the pavement.
We love coming to the Guyandotte campground.
Also, you need more gravels in the sites to be even with the pavement because my husband fell and I hurt my ankle because of the pavement being higher than the ground in spot #81.
It's a good campground but could be better. We brought our friends and they love it.

The campground was a few miles in off the main road. This made it quiet and secluded. The campground host was very nice and the grounds were nice and clean. I would definitely come back camping here if I was in the area again.

Poor because I had to cancel my trip, and was not able to cancel my reservation because I couldn’t find the reservation cancellation option
So I lost my money
