During my 20 plus years participating with Klondike 83 my lot was in the middle of comfort stations 13 and 6; here is my spoilage, a family member from uniontown PA sold this lot to me! Thanks again for many years of being a friend!

I've visited this place several times with a friend who has a camp there. Simply put, you will not believe your eyes! This place is HUGE and has everything from a water slide to a small store and Ice cream shop. You can easily get lost in this park. All of the folks there are nice and seem glad to see you. Very welcoming. You must have a pass to enter. The gates are manned by security officers and, occasionally, the West Virginia State Police.

This is a camp ground in West Virginia. It's a good place to camp. They have a water park, mini gulf, golf cart rentals, a grocery store. Two lakes. User friendly, 24 hour security. This is an ownership campground but they do have rental spaces also. They book up fast so call ahead.

Why would anybody want to buy property here? They tell you what to do with your property if I wanted to stay there for the entire year I couldn’t you can’t stay year round even though you purchased the property the lot For tens of thousands of dollars it’s not where you pay a monthly amount you actually pay 10 to 72/100,000 dollars for your lot For them to tell you when you can stay and everybody is so close to one another it’s more like a trailer park than a campground. You have to pay for people to be able to come to your camper visitors passes. You’re only allowed so many for free even though it’s your property.

I'm starting to feel a two stars is generous.
Upon checking in the gatekeeper had issues finding our reservation - that's a probably about an hour just to check in. I gave him some Grace. Then we weren't told anything we were not told about quiet time we were not giving an information packet we are not giving a map... For never being there before I was expecting a little bit more information than what I was given. Considering I didn't even know what time checkout was.
The positive is our site was large.
I picked up dirty can lids all over before we could even pull in. That could have been horrible especially because I have children.
Was not expecting to need to provide my own toilet paper, that could have been mentioned on the website. (I've stayed at rustic state parks and it was included.)
It says swimming pool on the website, should have mentioned that's what the water park in that it's extra cost. Understandable to pay for the water park but was not expecting to have to pay for the pool.

I do feel that the friendliest staff member was the person at the park the next day who gave my children a popsicle they were grateful.

The lakes are beautiful, the fights are big. However I wouldn't really call this a family park, and to be honest with you if you're just looking to camp and not become a member this is not for you.
