Sand Springs Campground

A beautiful campground tucked away in the WV mountains. Very quiet. The sites are spacious and heavily wooded/shaded. Many are not level. We needed extra blocks to level our motor home and noticed that those around us did so also. The pool and playground were clean and enjoyable. The laundry room was small, with only two washing machines and dryers. We enjoyed our stay.

y store inside the camp grounds. Large pull through camp sites. Beautiful well maintained swimming pool. Sit back and listen to what quiet sounds like. Lots of nature around tall green trees. Just a lovely place to relax.

This campground is exactly what family camping should be! It has real in-the-woods camping while still being close to nearby attractions and stores. The owners are incredibly friendly. The sites are very spacious and each of them has their own fire pit and picnic table. The bathrooms are close by and have been updated & are so clean, smell nice, and have hot showers and sinks With outlets at the sink & mirrors. Not to mention this place is so reasonably priced especially for having such a large family and all the amenities they offer. They have such a huge pool and a playground with swings and basketball right next to it. as well as nice updated pavilions with picnic tables and a game room with old-school arcade games and pool tables. Add in the free live bands all summer, and it’s the perfect family-oriented campground. We can’t wait to come back! We stayed here a few years ago and we’re so glad we came back and we will definitely be coming back pretty frequently in the future.

Very clean and well maintained grounds. We did tent camping and the only issue was the ground was a little sloped. The fire pit was large enough to cook on. There is firewood for sale there ($10 per bundle) and a well stocked camp store.

OK but don't book around site 8. They said the leech bed is giving off a foul smell that remedies itself when it rains. It would have been nice if we were forwarded so we could book elsewhere. I told them the men's toilet rocks and the wax ring is not doing it's job but that advice was blamed on children.

The pool is not heated so don't expect to swim in July when we are here. Not worth the money compared to most campgrounds we visited. Sorry sand springs.
