Must see Blackwater Falls, Seneca Rocks, Snowshoe Ski Resort (even in the summer) and eat at Smoke I’m the water.
Site needs water at the site.

The camping sites were very private with ample space and vegetation between them. The campsites were well cared for by mowing, raking and policing for trash.
The bathhouse was neat and clean.
The host, a gentleman was friendly, kind and helpful. He asked us several times if we needed anything.
This was our first trip to this campground and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We will be back. 😊

The campground is well maintained. The low growth rhododendrons in between the sites make them feel very private. The day use area is large with circa 1930's CCC picnic shelters and access to the river. Bickle Knob observation tower, Spruce Knob (highest point in West Virginia) and Seneca Rocks are all within driving distance. Beautiful views. Nice relaxing place to camp.

Unhappy Camper
Campground is small and difficult to navigate with a big rig. Price per night is too high for what you get, no water and outhouse vs flush toilet. Top it off when we canceled our next stay there scheduled for 2 weeks later they charged us a $26.00 cancellation fee.

Camp sites and vault toilets were incredibly clean and well maintained. However, this campground is NOT for tent campers, primarily due to noise---traffic from the nearby highway and constant dog barking from a nearby kennel/training facility made it nearly impossible to sleep or relax whatsoever. On my particular visit, there were also loud RV campers playing loud, thumping music until nearly midnight, and I definitely didn't go camping so that I could listen to someone blasting Cardi B. I cannot recommend this campground unless you're an RV camper and therefore have slightly less chance of being bothered by the noise.
