We just loved this campground, it was everything we loved in a National Park
Clean campsite , large and roomy, plenty of privacy with out the feeling you are on top of each other, nice walk to the park.
This is by far our favorite.

This was our first time in WV and at Stuart Recreation Area. We couldn’t have picked a better place to stay! The campground was beautiful - including amazing campsites, clean facilities and helpful camp hosts! We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

We arrived late due to unforeseen circumstances and were worried we would not be able to get in. Skip saw us pull in and came right out with a flashlight. He said he was expecting us, showed us where we could fill our water tank and directed us to our site (#11). It is a secluded and flat site. We only stayed a few days, but it was beautiful and quiet. The nature area at the bottom of the hill is absolutely gorgeous. Definitely worth the long walk. This park is well maintained and everything was immaculate. Cell service (Verizon) was spotty, but other than that - perfect!

Great Camp host. Not having water is somewhat a disappointment.

Great campground. Very secluded, trees in between camp sites and makes it like your by yourself. We will definitely be going back.

Water was not available in the campground. Although notified in advance of this, and receiving a 20% discount on my camping fee, this is the second time I‘ve camped at Stuart without water. I’d rather pay the full fee and have the water working.

Always clean, quiet and plenty to do in the area. One of our favorite camp grounds.
