We really enjoyed our time at this beautiful campground. The little free library was a lifesaver as we’d not known we’d have no cell service. But this is more of an advantage these days so you can truly get away from everything.

The ditch lines were over flowing due the built up leaves and branches. Which did not leave good impression as you entered the campground.

I really enjoyed the fact that there was no wifi. Not being tied to electronics is what camping is all about. If you don't have wifi then you're not tempted to use it. There is plenty to do outside.

Pretty clean. Site 47 was large enough for our 40 foot long camper. Very friendly staff and very laid back. The road to get there is very twisty turny. But just go easy. Watch for deer at night.

This was our first time at this beautiful park. We only got to stay two nights, but wished we had more time to stay longer. The park isn’t very crowded this time of year, so it was very peaceful. We enjoyed the beautiful fall foliage and biking around the park as a family. The hostess was very friendly and informative about the park. The only downside that we experienced was, as other reviews stated, the garage dumpsters at the beginning of our loop were quite ripe.

The campground is very nice. Check in was easy and the camp host is friendly and helpful! Cell service was spotty and no internet. The gps directions brought me driving into the water 12 miles from the campground! I’m not sure if that can be updated. I had a lovely stay.

Had a nice quiet week at this campground. Stayed in site 47 on the water. This is a full hook up site. Restrooms were clean as was the entire campground. Happy we had a screen house to go into at night. Each site comes with a picnic table and fire ring. Local store was 2 miles away with groceries and wood. Cell service with booster was little or none. The Robertsons were great hosts.

Grounds not well maintained, grass needed cutting, low limbs. Camp host very friendly, other wise would rate as poor. This is a beautiful location, just poorly maintained. Virtually no cell phone service.

From I-79, take exit 67. Turn right on WV-4 and go 1 mile. Turn left on WV-15 and travel 12 miles to the campground. Campground will be on your right. NOTE: GPS directions are not always accurate. Call for additional information.

General
- Alcohol is prohibited at Sutton Lake
- Visiting hours are from .
- Don't Move Firewood: Protect your forests from tree-killing pests by buying your firewood locally and burning it on-site. Visit Dontmovefirewood.org for further information.
- • No person(s) may camp at one or more campsites for more than 14 days in a 30 day consecutive period at “Sutton Lake”. This includes the reservation holder (primary occupant) and all other overnight occupants.
- • Any person utilizing a Federal Pass for a discount on camping fees must present the discount pass upon request, be registered on the campsite, and occupy the site overnight for the entire duration of the reservation to receive the full discount.
- • You may only be registered as the primary occupant at one campsite upon check-in.
- • All trash and debris must be completely removed from the campsite upon departure.
- • All motorized recreational vehicles, including motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles (ATV), utility terrain vehicles (UTV), mopeds, scooters, golf carts, hoverboards, etc., that are not licensed for use on all roadways are prohibited in the campgrounds.
- • Please contact the Sutton Lake office about questions on power driven mobility aids.
- • The primary occupant is responsible for the adherence to camping rules and regulations by all other occupants, guests, and visitors on the campsite.
