My experience was mostly good except that i arrived to find my fire pit full of trash from the previous occupant. There are trees on the entrance road that hit the roof of my camper and i assume other 5th wheels. The entrance road is also getting many potholes. These are beginning to impact my decision to choose to stay there.

Love having full hookups. The campsites are large. Some campsites are directly on the river ...great for fishing without a boat. Nice playgrounds for children. There's a creek for kids to play in, also swimming holes. The Snak Shak is open 9am to 9pm.

Electric only. No water or sewer hook up. Our campsite was not level. Picnic table needed replaced. The bathrooms were outdated. No activities during 4th July. Nice play ground for kids. Lake to go swimming or fishing.

Nice to find an out of the way campground that fits a big rig with full hookups! Park was quiet and laid back. Snack Shak was a great added benefit. Site was plenty long enough for out 40’ motorhome and Jeep. Town was far enough away to avoid and noise and extra traffic but close enough to get needed supplies. Walmart was there! We would stay again if traveling through the area.

  • Alcohol is prohibited at Sutton Lake
  • Visiting hours are from .
  • Don't Move Firewood: Protect your forests from tree-killing pests by buying your firewood locally and burning it on-site. Visit Dontmovefirewood.org for further information.
  • • No person(s) may camp at one or more campsites for more than 14 days in a 30 day consecutive period at “Sutton Lake”. This includes the reservation holder (primary occupant) and all other overnight occupants.
  • • Any person utilizing a Federal Pass for a discount on camping fees must present the discount pass upon request, be registered on the campsite, and occupy the site overnight for the entire duration of the reservation to receive the full discount. 
  • • You may only be registered as the primary occupant at one campsite upon check-in.  
  • • All trash and debris must be completely removed from the campsite upon departure.
  • • All motorized recreational vehicles, including motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles (ATV), utility terrain vehicles (UTV), mopeds, scooters, golf carts, hoverboards, etc., that are not licensed for use on all roadways are prohibited in the campgrounds.
  • • Please contact the Sutton Lake office about questions on power driven mobility aids. 
  • • The primary occupant is responsible for the adherence to camping rules and regulations by all other occupants, guests, and visitors on the campsite.
