we have camped here several times, but upon arrival we noticed the fire pit was full of ashes and mud. The bath house in the middle had no water in the showers. We love this campground and would very much like to see full hook ups in the sites that have no hook ups. It is so hard to get a full hook up site. Also I would like to complement the staff at the check in gate. Wonderful to work with!

We stayed at site 156 on the river. It was shaded and we were able to tie our pontoon off at the site. One bath house had to be closed our last night there due to people vandalizing it. Otherwise, a great stay. We plan to go back again.

The campground sites are large. We stayed in site 42 which was full hook ups. We loved the river and brought kayaks to use. We took walks and rode bikes. We visited the snack shack for ice cream a couple times. The local Walmart was only 20 minutes away to stock up on forgotten items. I enjoyed the Campground host as she was from Texas. We drove one day over to Holly River state park for a hike. The campground is well maintained and quiet especially at night. The local police make frequent rounds. There are playgrounds for the kids and my grand draughters enjoyed volleyball.

The campground was a huge disappointment. The traffic was a nightmare because all the traffic ran both ways on a one way road.

Wow!!! Wonderful campground! Paved full hookup sites and some waterfront access. Waterways have a variety of depths but there are a number of boat ramps. No cell service!!

From I-79, take exit 67. Turn right on WV-4 and go 1 mile. Turn left on WV-15 and travel 12 miles to the campground. Campground will be on your right. NOTE: GPS directions are not always accurate. Call for additional information.

General
- Alcohol is prohibited at Sutton Lake
- Visiting hours are from .
- Don't Move Firewood: Protect your forests from tree-killing pests by buying your firewood locally and burning it on-site. Visit Dontmovefirewood.org for further information.
- • No person(s) may camp at one or more campsites for more than 14 days in a 30 day consecutive period at “Sutton Lake”. This includes the reservation holder (primary occupant) and all other overnight occupants.
- • Any person utilizing a Federal Pass for a discount on camping fees must present the discount pass upon request, be registered on the campsite, and occupy the site overnight for the entire duration of the reservation to receive the full discount.
- • You may only be registered as the primary occupant at one campsite upon check-in.
- • All trash and debris must be completely removed from the campsite upon departure.
- • All motorized recreational vehicles, including motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles (ATV), utility terrain vehicles (UTV), mopeds, scooters, golf carts, hoverboards, etc., that are not licensed for use on all roadways are prohibited in the campgrounds.
- • Please contact the Sutton Lake office about questions on power driven mobility aids.
- • The primary occupant is responsible for the adherence to camping rules and regulations by all other occupants, guests, and visitors on the campsite.
