What Guests Are Saying

Lac Vieux Desert Campground offers a great experience with clean facilities, friendly rangers, and a well-maintained beach area, making it a favored spot for families and friends for over 25 years. Many visitors appreciate the peaceful atmosphere and enjoy fishing, although some note that the boat landing could use improvement. A downside is the occasional intrusion from neighboring property users, impacting privacy and cleanliness.

Had a good time at the campgrounds, got some fishing in, so happy to see the beach being cleaned up and people using it

Love this campground! Love that they are working on fixing up the beach area! The Rangers are very nice and the bathrooms are kept clean! The weather could have been more cooperative (lol). We made out next reservation already 😉

I have visited and stayed at this campground for 25+ years with family and friends. Being a boundary water family from Michigan and Wisconsin come to enjoy each year to fish and spend time together.
We will continue to do this for as long as we can. It has grown with more family and friends over the years and it’s what we look forward to every year.
It is a very nice campground and that’s what keeps bringing us back to this spot.

Nice clean campsites. Only thing is the people at the adjacent property use the campground outhouses due to their bad septic. They walk right through your campsite to and fro all the time. This has been going on for years. Also have been seen disposing of their garbage in campground dumpsters!!
