2 minor problems: some of the wood stairs leading to the campsite were loose, (the second is more of a reflection of the previous occupants of the campsite), there was numerous plastic bottles and a propane canister left in the campfire ring.
Also, there was much litter scattered around the campsite.

Beautiful park, campground, beach and trails.
No cell signals so you are truly off the grid.
Already making plans for next year.

Campsites were nice and secluded. Restrooms were clean. Great price for a place to camp for the weekend.

I like Bear Lake a lot. Some sites have easy boat launch, swim beach is nice, lake is quiet, campground quite, sites spaced nicely.

really need to fix the steps down to the lake, we are not disabled but not young either. I asked the person cleaning toilets about a volunteer project next spring to fix them, she wasn't really receptive to that. We were just at franklin lake where they had a spring volunteer work crew. Most of the stairs in the southern half of the lake REALLY need repairs. How about sending an email out to people who have camped there and offering a free stay next spring to work on the stairs? That's how they had a work crew at franklin lake.
