Cheryl the host is friendly and helpful. But, the campground itself is very poor, outdated and in desperate need of renovations. The loop at the end needs to be completely removed and replaced. RVs aren’t easily getting around it if they are more than 25 feet, and pretty much impossible for 30 or larger. We had to bypass it, go straight into the beach parking and back into the loop very carefully just to turn around our 32 foot 5th wheel.
The beach and mooring area are useless and jokes. That entire shoreline is covered in overgrown weeds. Completely unusable.
The campground outhouses are awful.

The bad first. A lot of storm damage made areas questionable and borderline dangerous with a lot of broken branches and widow makers in the trees. The beach and mooring area is a joke with weeds making them completely choked out and unusable. No place to land your boat or tie it up. The campground outhouses are atrocious. Old and need replacing. The loop is/was too small to accommodate large RVs. Maybe now with the extreme weather damage around it, they will actually expand it to make it easier for larger RVs to get through.
The good. Quiet campground. Large sites. The campground host, Cheryl is friendly and helpful.

From the intersection of Highway 32 and FR2186 just south of Hiles, drive west on FR2186 for 0.5 miles to FR2185. Turn left onto FR2185 and drive 1.3 miles to the campground entrance on the left.
Pine Lake Campground is accessible via Highway 32, which is approximately 0.5 miles away. From Highway 32, take Forest Road 2186 to reach the campground.

Policies & Rules
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.

- Pine Lake Campground is located on the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest in northeast Wisconsin.
Site types & loops
- Campsite use is limited to designated hardened areas.
Safety & rules
- Generators can only be used from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. while present at the site; loud generators are prohibited.
Vehicles & parking
- No privately owned ATVs, UTVs, or golf carts are allowed in the campground.
Site capacity
- Single occupancy sites can accommodate up to 8 people, 1 wheeled camping unit, and 3 additional non-wheeled vehicles or trailers.
Fires & fuel
- Firewood must be sourced from within 25 miles of the National Forest or from certified sources.
Utilities
- This campground does not offer electric hook-ups.
