Picnic Point (WI)

Ultimate favorite campsite ever. Most relaxing time camping with so many gentle paddles in the flowage.

Absolutely gorgeous site. Multiple times Horseshoe shape to accommodate both the camping and boat slip purposes.

Wish we would have brought:
-a paper map. Cell reception is out of the question.
-wood from a nearby town. No wood to buy near the site. Plan your stop ahead of time!
-something for horse flies
-kayaks. Perfect adventure w the boat launch right there

So glad we brought:
-Thermacell
-drinking and cooking water
-headlamps
-bocce ball
-wipes!!!!

I loved almost everything about it, my only complaint is that many people were coming to see if the sites were reserved. My thought is that maybe a sign next to the existing sign at the entrance that is larger. Maybe it could be something that is flipped around with a green sites are open side and a red sites are reserved side

This is our 8th year coming here. Every year it’s a different experience, mostly based around what the weather decides to do, but it’s always a fun time. The campground is clean, with updated toilets and a newly paved road. Be aware that you most likely will be visited by some locals- while we were there people stopped to use the toilets several times, people let their dogs and kids walk around the campsite even though we had reserved it. It’s just part of renting the whole site and being next to the public boat dock.

It was very nice I loved everything just a few things that could be better is if it was known to us that there wasn’t gonna be any showers available and if it was explained to other visitors that they can unload there boats but not be wandering around the camp site.
