Came for breakfast this morning, and waited over an hour for food all to be told she forgot to put our order in. I even went and asked and she said it'd be out in a second, waited another 45 mins for it to never even be sent to the kitchen?! Nothing like watching other people who came in after you eat before you. Isn't the first time. She apologized, but what does that really do anymore. We now missed our plans, our time was wasted. Doesn't make me want to come back to the bar/restaurant nor will we staying at the campground. We’ll take our business and money somewhere else. Which is truly really sad because we really loved camping up here before.

Let’s shut down the rumors:

Yes, there’s been a change in ownership and a slight price increase — but when you compare it to other places, the value is unbeatable. Big love to Shelly the bar manager – she runs the place like a pro and always makes everyone feel welcome. The bar staff is fun, fast, and friendly. And a huge shoutout to Scott the maintenance guy – always on top of things, willing to lend a hand, and keeping the campground in tip-top shape.

This place thrives because of the dedicated, long-time staff who make guests feel like family. A gentle reminder to the new owner: don’t lose sight of the people who keep this place running so well. Listening, being present, and showing appreciation goes a long way — and it would be a real loss to see great staff walk away due to feeling unheard. The potential here is huge, especially if everyone feels valued.

Bar/Restaurant has always been very good for all of our experiences. We will be staying in the cabins this summer. I can't wait. We look forward to spending an extended weekend at Doc's.

Camped there during the week. Some things were closed but the traffic on the trails was real low. I prefer times like that when things are not busy. We had a nice stay.

Pros: friendly and helpful Manager. Bar tenders were great with customer service. Good food and reasonably priced. Beer was cold and priced reasonably as well.
Cons: The "cabin" we had was actually an apartment in a quadplex building. The walls were paper thin. We could here the people next door. No TV so if we wanted to pass time we had to go
to the bar. Could have used a charcoal grill or a grill cover for the fire pit. Web site says kitchen opens at 9:00 on Thursday at 10:30 we were told the kitchen doesn't open until 11:00. Unfortunately this is not a place I would stay at again.
