This was our first visit to Wilderness. We went during the week, so was quiet. But every staff member we met was very cheerful and helpful. They even allowed us to move our site to a more level place.
And we LOVED the quietness of no golf carts or ATVs running around all day!
We will be back!

Overall we love this campground and bring our kids out every year. Everything is very kid-centric and friendly. Some new upgrades with the new management - better wifi and new shower system (no longer require quarters). Only suggestion id make is having more consistency in the water pressure and water temp because I took a shower one day and it was perfect pressure and temp and the next (using the same exact shower) it was freezing and absolutely terrible pressure. Other than that, we always have a blast and the staff is amazing.

Sites are roomy, pool is clean, pond is nice. Need to purchase wood at campground which is getting pricey at $7 for 5-6 pieces. A $15 site lock fee is added to reservation if you want to be guaranteed your site, which is crazy. I feel if I book a site in advance I shouldn't have to pay extra to not worry I could be separated from our friends.

This was our 3rd year camping here but our first time renting a cabin while our family had campsites. We were in Cabin B58. Our cabin was nice and clean upon arrival. It was great having the toilet and shower in the cabin so we didn’t have to walk to the bathrooms in the middle of the night and had our own shower. We had two bunks and a full size bed, which was perfect for 3 of us. However, I would recommend bringing a twin size memory foam pad for each of the bunk beds. The upper bed mattress was soft but then had what felt like wood beams under it that hurt to lay on and the lower bunk mattress was hard as a rock so we got memory foam pads from Walmart and that helped a lot. The full size bed was comfortable the way it was. We loved our view of Bonnie Lake and the nice screened in porch. Our family was able to get campsites across the road so it was great to just walk over to them. Bonnie Lake is low this year so the water slides were not open and they didn’t have the tall Wibit slide in the lake :( but the kids still had fun. One thing I do wish they would upgrade is the mini golf. The price was great for mini golf but we only played once as it was pretty shabby. There were lots of people fishing in Bonnie Lake as well and our family enjoyed kayaking and paddle boarding in the lake. You can also rent kayaks and paddle boats from the office but we did see some pushing the boats through the low area this year. Hopefully the water level comes up for next year. The ice cream at the store is delicious and the staff is all very helpful. We already booked our stay for next year and look forward to our stay in the cabin next door!

Wilderness Campground is great for families or for empty nesters. It is kept very clean. The bathrooms are very nice and the shower room is very clean too. I highly recommend Wilderness Campground. We love the full hook up pull through sites. The website is easy to navigate.
