Lakeside Fire Campground

I stayed at this Campground about 10 years ago and we enjoyed ourselves. Now we just stayed again this past weekend and couldn't believe how many improvements were done at the campground. We were there for the state water ski competition. We will definitely be back again. My son absolutely loved the floating water park and the swim pool. It was so nice to be able to get anything we needed right on site if we had forgotten something.

This was our first stay and it was okay. The sites were nice and big, the new pavilion had great pizza and the pond kept the kids busy. The fireworks show was awesome. Very family friendly and quiet.

The extra fee for a second car or tent seems excessive when every other place we have camped has allowed two per site.

The pond water had a weird smell, and with no bathroom around and no one getting out of the water after drinking all day, it definitely felt icky. Most of us ended up with a weird rash.

The showers are also a toilet with no real separation or way to drain water so you have to stack your clean towel and clothes on top of the toilet paper roll and then squeegee the floors dry after you shower. The thought was nice, but it doesn’t seem like it was executed well.

The fishing dock looked a bit sketchy but was very popular with the kids.

Overall it was a pleasant weekend but it didn’t really wow us.

Great campground to stay at! We’ve stayed a weekend for the last couple of years and love it! Friendly, attentive and accommodating staff and they keep the place very clean! Lots of fun things for the kids to do as well! Highly recommend!

Themed weekends, friendly staff, family friendly, fishing dock, swimming pond with floating obstacle course, and sand volleyball. Dog park is also on-site as well as ability to feed the chickens, fresh chicken eggs to purchase at the store. Day passes to enjoy pond.

Lakeside Fire Campground is a great place to have a seasonal site. Its not too big, with just over 200 campsites. There are beautiful cabins to rent if you dont have a camper. The lake, beach and pool provide so many options for activities. They even have a dog park for the furry babies in your life! It is secure with gated entrance and exits. Quiet hours are strictly observed. The owners are a great family who are making awesome improvements each year.
