What Guests Are Saying
Grant River Campground offers spacious, well-maintained sites with stunning views of the Mississippi River and beautiful sunsets. Visitors appreciate the cleanliness of the facilities and the friendly atmosphere, as well as the proximity to charming towns like Potosi. However, the frequent train traffic nearby can be disruptive for some campers, especially at night.

Grant River is always a nice place for us to stay on our way to other places. My only "complaint" would be the train...but it's a bit unavoidable!

Camping at Grant River recreation Park is great for getting away for a few days. I have Loved the time I have spent there. Fishing is a little tricky because of the grass so a dock to get out past it would be awesome.

We really enjoyed our visit, even though we only stayed for one night. The park is right along the Mississippi River, and very scenic. Itβs well maintained and our campsite was level with plenty of space. We drove over to Dubuque for dinner, then after driving around to look at the beautiful houses, enjoyed watching a two-person kayak go through the locks.

Beautiful, clean park right next to the Mississippi River. I would LOVE to camp again there, but unfortunately, it was also right next to (within 75') of two very busy railroad freight line tracks. There were one to two trains every hour throughout the day and night sounding their horns three or four times as they approached the campground entrance road that crossed the tracks. It was very hard to sleep well and for that reason, I can never go back.
