We camped 3 nights at Grant River (WI). The train runs all day and NIGHT :-( It wouldn't be so bad but there was some trains that they blew the horn much much longer than usual :-( At least half the time our camper would vibrate/shake a lot. I slept with an ear plug and towel (folder 4 times) over my ear.... this did not help unfortunately. We're also used to having some sort of trail or walking path to get some exercise/explore but there was none.

We noticed in June when we stayed and also July that the rangers and hosts all did an awesome job cleaning up after the storms. We did have some damage to our truck in June, but made it through July with no damage. Thank you to the rangers and the hosts for doing a really good job to bring the campground back to the beautiful area that it is.

You didn't get five stars because of the fish flies! We'll have to plan next-years' visit for some OTHER week... when there are no fish flies!

This spot is nice and shady and, if you park right, has a pretty unobstructed view of the river from the rear of your camper. Location was well maintained, would go again.

The restrooms were in great shape, clean, paper was in full supply at all times of the day. The camp volunteers were on top of all aspects related to the campgrounds an it's facilities.

Very clean and organized campground. It was quiet and peaceful with the exception of the trains in the middle of the night. Friendly staff and a scenic view of the river.
