This was a very nice campsite and an excellent value for the price. It is located in one of the most scenic parts of the state with numerous beautiful drives and abundant quaint small towns nearby. The camp hosts were some of the nicest people and they did a spectacular job of keeping things nice. The only problem with this location are the trains that rumble right next to the campsite, probably eighteen times in twenty four hours, and they blow their horns because of the nearby crossing. Despite the trains, I recommend this campground.

As always, great week camping at Grant River!!
Mini trips to Platteville for Steve’s Pizza, lunch and ice cream at Scoops in Fennimore, met a friend in Prairie du Chein for lunch at Fort Morgan, great cheese curds at BrewTown Saloon in Potosi. Yes, we ate our way around the Driftless Region of southwest Wisconsin.
Beautiful scenery in these hills! Then back to the wonderful campground with nice cement pads, fire rings, picnic tables and friendly neighbors.
Our fourth week this season and two more to come.

Nice clean campground. Bathrooms were good. Showers were good. Beautiful sunsets. Mostly adult campers, not a lot of kids seen.

This park was very nice- concrete pads, drinking water spaced very conveniently throughout the park, flush toilets and very nice hosts. The trains were a little loud :(. I would suggest hosing down the showers with a hose once a day.

Loved being able to sit in my campsite and watch the Mississippi River flow by. Beautiful sunsets. Lots of train traffic.

"A Train-Lover's Paradise"
Clean facilities. Gorgeous sunsets & river didn't stink like a swamp. Trains run through your bedroom. No water at sites, but many are paved & level. Bats & geese abound.
