Lake of the Woods Campground

The staff and cleanliness of everything is above and beyond. Super freindly staff. Food is out of this world

This would be a nice campground except for the layout. All non seasonal sites are ,"awning to awning " or what is known as buddy sites. So you are face to face, sharing a common area. Our firepit was just a few feet from the site facing us. No way both groups could sit comfortably around it without being in the way of the other group.
Also no clear paths. We constantly had people, both young and old walking though the middle of our site. Sometimes between the table and our RV. We did confront several but each weekend a new group would show up and start walking into our site. Just during the time I wrote this, 4 kids and 3 adults walked through. Loose dogs another problem. The campground really needs a few more rules and some people who cruise around to enforce them. Will not stay here again. Will look somewhere else, you should too.

Great staff, very friendly. Let us move campsites! But campground was so run down, dead trees, pond didn’t look like the pictures we didnt even actually swim in it, it looked so gross. We didn’t get enough power at the site to run both our ac units at the same time, kept popping the breaker. For over $100 a night you’d think the upkeep would be better. Very disappointed and won’t be returning. So much potential but just wasn’t there.

I haven’t been to this campgrounds in 10yrs but from what I remembered it was a nice campground. From what I seen the weekend it’s no where near what it used to be. Lot of permanent sites for sale. Sites were run down looking. Can definitely tell it’s corporate owned now. Sad to see a once nice campgrounds going down the drain.

I never leave reviews, but felt I needed to for this spot. I was nervous based on some reviews, but this campground was one my non state park favorites! The pool was clean, the dog park was helpful with 2 young pups, the bathrooms were clean, and our kids did not want to leave. There were plenty of activities for the kids (and adults). We will definitely be back!
