If you are thinking of staying here my advise is don't. First impressions are lasting impressions and our first encounter when we entered the property was with an angry old man who was yelling at us like we were escaped convicts. We stopped at a stop sign, then proceeded to pull away and he started yelling, you have to stop. Had he not been staring at his phone he would have saw we had stopped. I can understand why this placed is called Lazy Days. Apparently nobody has enough energy to operate a weed Wacker. Weeds around the playground, other campers , just about everywhere were 2 feet high. The bathrooms, better then I expected but I would not call them clean. The site we were assigned was anything but level. We had put a 6 inch block under the tongue jack and still had to extend the jack all the way up, and the RV still was not level. We have traveled to 49 of the 50 states since 2017. This is probably the worst RV park I have ever stayed in. If any manager or owner of this RV park reads this, I have pictures and will be happy to send them to you. Pictures of the angry old man on his phone, pictures of the weeds growing up around everything, pictures of the not very clean bathrooms. I mentioned to some friends we were visiting in Brown Deer, we are staying in Lazy Days, they had nothing good to say about Lazy Days. Apparently the locals are aware, but us poor travelers pay on advance and when asking for a refund, no refunds are given. I understand why refunds are not given, if they were, people would show up and demand a refund. If not for the fire fighters reunion I was attending, I would not have stayed here, refund or not.

Overall, it's a great campground. We had a pull through site which was convenient with our rig. They are strict about the 5 mph, but they were understanding that our motorcycles might travel at 7 mph in order to stay vertical. The camp store is stocked with essentials, but town in just a quick 15 min drive down the road. We have Verizon and the signal was poor, so don't expect to stream anything while at the campground. The showers were clean, but older. The staff were great to work with. Overall, the campground is a great place to stay if you understand you are not at KOA. We'd stay here again if we were in the area.

Beautiful lake views. Nice sized RV lots, most even have nice yard space or decks! The employees seem very friendly and helpful, as do any of the other campers we have met at this lovely family campground!

We originally booked for only a week(last minute booking) , and after reading the reviews debated cancelling our reservations all together. I’m so glad we didn’t! Our family ended up staying for 3 weeks from Sep-Oct. Sometimes it’s easy to forget that it’s way more likely for a person to leave a negative review than a positive- so sometimes you don’t know what’s posted out of frustration as a jab at the campsite and what’s truly just feedback regarding campground. So here’s my unbiased experience and opinion.
We loved the weekend events for Fall including a Halloween party & Haunted trail that was so much fun for us and our pre teens. The park was clean and fun for our 4 year old. She especially loved the giant sand pit! There’s also a very large field attached to the park that our dog loved to explore. (Would be perfect to fence in for a dog park)
The Beach area is small but has a nice area to swim (weather permitting- it was a bit cold during our visit). We mostly enjoyed the fishing docks!
This campground is huge! So bikes came in handy for getting around. If you don’t have bikes- they rent them by the hour at the market/office. (You can also rent kayaks, canoes or paddle boats)
The front market is great and super convenient! My kids loved stopping in for candy lol
Kudos to all of the staff we encountered during our 3 week stay. Everyone was polite. Always helpful. They were so accommodating when my husband needed to park his work truck on site. (We traveled here for his job). That to us was one of the biggest perks, as his work truck is a necessity.
The 5mph is enforced. They tell you this upon arrival- and honestly it gave us so much peace of mind knowing no one would be speeding past our kids as they road their bike around the campground. Even if it was sometimes painful to roll at that speed 😂. Still not a big deal.
Showers take quarters. One quarter = 10 mins of water. Bathrooms and shower houses were maintained. Nothing fancy- but definitely not filthy.

We stayed in area D of the campground. We loved our spot. We saw herons fly over daily to land in the field by the park. It was quiet and clean. Close to laundry, shower houses, the park and a dumpster. Our spot was mostly level (all spots are grass not graveled or paved) but had like 5 fire pits dugout which made parking a 36ft camper slightly challenging as we were trying to dodge them. But we managed and then proceeded to fill in a couple of them to avoid tripping over them.

Overall we loved it here at LazyDays. We will likely be in the area again next year and hope to get to visit again for some of their summer activities!
Take these reviews with a grain of salt. Check it out for yourself - there’s no perspective like your own. Happy Camping 🏕️
