Hunter Campground offers great accommodations and is well-managed by friendly hosts, Stan and Libby, who provide valuable trail information. The campground features clean facilities and spectacular views, with a variety of rugged riding trails nearby. While reservation difficulties and limited corrals can be frustrating, the overall experience and location are highly praised, making it a popular choice for equine enthusiasts.

We love the time that we spend at Hunter's Trail head. The camp hosts are very accommodating and always willing to help . We also met Forest Ranger Chuck we was also very helpful and pleasant.
We were not able to be at the Trailhead for the entire time that I was able to book. When I tried to modify my reservations thru Recreation.gov it would not allow me to do that. I know that Hunter Trailhead is a popular spot in the summer and wanted to allow someone else time to utilize that spot. Unfortunately because I was not allowed to do this our campsites sat empty for one week with no one using them.

Beautiful riding nice camp ground other then the poop bins not getting cleaned on a weekly base which was unpleasant when you are camped right across from them. Nice camp host.

Wonderful camping! Loved the mountain views. Easy access to trails. Camp hosts Stan and Libby are wonderful and we're always helpful. Checking in every evening to see is you needed anything. Can't wait to come back soon!
