What Guests Are Saying
Hunter Campground is well-maintained and offers a fantastic location with stunning views and a variety of rugged trails for equestrian enthusiasts. Camp hosts Stan and Libby receive high praise for their helpfulness and friendliness, creating a welcoming atmosphere for visitors. While the campground provides clean facilities and designated pens for horses, some guests noted that having only one corral per site can be challenging for larger groups.

The camp hosts are very courteous and were able to answer all our questions. They go above and beyond to help solve any issues.

The camp hosts were wonderful! Not happy with the fact that non horse campers are allowed to stay there. There are many campgrounds in the area that do not allow horses and when they stay in a horse camp, that limits availability to people with horses who would like to camp and enjoy the area.

Stan and Libby are awesome and I hope they continue to come back and host. They’re great.
My only complaint is that the people next to me had dogs that barked incessantly. That’s the first time I’ve had that happen at Hunter Corrals. Otherwise it was a great trip.

Be aware that even after reading the website and being assured by the ranger this is a campground open to all you may not be treated the same by the “host” of you don’t have horses. We booked only a week in advance and were grilled by the host how we could have gotten a reservation???? I don’t think he ever read the description which specifically states open to all campers. The location was ok but I will say gunfire seems to be a nightly occurrence not far from the campsite. Needless to say we won’t be back.
