We stayed at Windhaven RV RESORT twice during our visit to this area of Wyoming.
I can definitely say this is a great and convenient place to stay in Dubois Wy.
Very easy to find and the place is big rig friendly with full hook-ups, large level gravel sites and decent views of the surrounding countryside.
John, greeted us upon arrival and was very accommodating, providing local information. He greeted us everyday making sure everything is good. During our stay John never stopped working which is a great to see.
The restrooms, grounds and office were kept clean.
We were very pleased with Windhaven RV RESORT.

So my daughter and I were on a trip to Yellowstone and we popped a tire just before Dubois Wyoming the staff at this r v resort did an exceptional job of housing. My daughter and I overnight, so we could wait to get our tire fixed on our trailer. They were very humble, and after everything said and done. And the miserable day that we had on a 24 hour drive from Texas. They gave us some ice cream and a place to sleep. Thank you guys so much .

Best RV Experience! We have been RV road tripping with our 3 young kids (10 states, 8 days). This is hands down the best RV campground we have visited. Gorgeous scenery, easy access from highway, full hookups at every site, lovely shower facilities, CLEAN everything and 24/7 laundry. John made last minute registration easy so that we could pull in middle of the night after a long day of driving. Highly recommend!

Booked a site here last minute, on our way out of the national parks. Wonderful facilities— bathrooms spacious and SO clean, laundry was inexpensive and clean, and our spot (right on the river) was perfect for our son to spend a few hours fly fishing.
I love the Bible verses and Christian emphasis— thank you for that! Our kids also loooved the amazing free ice cream!

Great place!

The facilities here are fairly nice. Good gravel lot, nice view of the river, decent sized dog park, and good shower house/laundry. But overall our experience with the staff was less than impressive.

We initially had booked a reservation for 2 nights but were coming a day early and had called to see if they had a site available for us before we moved to our reserved site. It took an extra ten minutes on the phone for the staff to understand what we were talking about. Then when we got here, we explained our situation again — we had previously reserved for two nights and paid and are now adding one more night. No matter how many ways we explained it, he could not understand it. He couldn’t understand how we didn’t owe the full amount, if we were wanting 6 nights or 5 (the correct answer was neither!!), and told us our reservation wasn’t there.

We had called a month before our trip to book site 2, which staff described as “the best site in the park” and because when we called to ask questions we were told it was best to call and book the site and not do the online reservation platform. We got here a day early and had called and asked if there was a site for our extra night and then move to site 2 for our two scheduled nights (see above). We were then told that we did not have site 2 reserved and that it was for “someone named Jason.” We were then stuck in site 8 — which faced directly into a motorhome so we had no privacy (not a big deal but irritating nonetheless). Upon the scheduled two nights we were supposed to stay, our original site (2) was unoccupied and yet we were still stuck in 8.

Dogs were running around the campground unattended for hours on end.

Overall the facilities are nice, just make sure to book your reservation online so it doesn’t get lost.
