Great centrally located campground. Site itself was in a generator-free loop which is great for those of us in tents!

Gros Ventre Campground is a beautiful and well-maintained location with friendly staff, clean restrooms, and easy access to the nearby river and wildlife, making it ideal for campers. Many visitors appreciate the campground's peaceful atmosphere, spacious sites, and convenient check-in process. While some sites may have rocky terrain and the lack of showers is noted, the overall experience is positive, with many recommending it as a great base for exploring the Grand Tetons.

Small sites but well managed facility with great ranger direction and guidance. Easy to bike within campground and many bear precautions and food storage in each campsite. Good ranger program in the evenings that gave insight into Tetons wildlife. Be sure to bring your bear spray as you are in the bears’ domain
We saw moose, prong horn and elk in our short overnight stay! Incredible sunset over Tetons as a bonus

Lots of space. Quiet. Access to the river was great. Need a place to camp near Jackson and the Tetons, this is your place.

Peaceful & quiet. Not as busy as Colter Bay, which we liked. Friendly campground hosts and easy check=in. Staff was very friendly. There was even a moose at the end of the campground on the morning we checked out <3

Our campsite #189 was perfect. Just enough shade to stay cool. We checked in and Gary was very pleasant. We didn't purchase any firewood because it was so expensive. $14 for a bundle of firewood! Bathrooms have flush toilets (no showers) and were clean. Campground is close to Jackson and Mormon Row. We spent two nights which allowed us to visit all the sites. We saw a couple of bull moose just down the road from the campground. Overall a very pleasant stay.
