Gros Ventre Campground is a beautiful and well-maintained location with friendly staff, clean restrooms, and easy access to the nearby river and wildlife, making it ideal for campers. Many visitors appreciate the campground's peaceful atmosphere, spacious sites, and convenient check-in process. While some sites may have rocky terrain and the lack of showers is noted, the overall experience is positive, with many recommending it as a great base for exploring the Grand Tetons.

Great location and despite it being VERY FULL, it was quiet as can be. Very family friendly with bathrooms just a short walk away. The view from our campsite (85) was great!

This was the perfect location to view the park. We were able to reach all areas within a reasonable amount of time. Also, we saw moose in the campground area and enjoyed the ranger talks and wonderful views.

Beautiful campground. We were greeted by the host as we entered and she answered any questions we had. The road and campsites are paved. It was nice to park on pavement instead of rock. Easy access to sites at the park. Would stay again.

Beautiful weather so can't complain. Not far from town so that was nice. Site 325, F( Standard Nonelectric ) may be the worst in the entire campground. A dry creek bed runs just past the end of the paved section, so no tents or hammocks here. The picnic table has about 1 ft of space to walk around it, the fire ring feels like it's almost on the road. We were able to put two camp chairs near it but if we'd lit a fire they would have been too close. BUT since we were there for an event in town and not really "camping," the overall rating is still a 5. If you have an RV or self contained trailer and can cook there, you might not even care. We opted to eat in town because getting our gear to the picnic table with no room to move around made it too much of a hassle.
