Beautiful park, Tetons visible, nice clean amenities and best of all wild life right at your camp site.

Gros Ventre Campground is a beautiful and well-maintained location with friendly staff, clean restrooms, and easy access to the nearby river and wildlife, making it ideal for campers. Many visitors appreciate the campground's peaceful atmosphere, spacious sites, and convenient check-in process. While some sites may have rocky terrain and the lack of showers is noted, the overall experience is positive, with many recommending it as a great base for exploring the Grand Tetons.

While the conditions were rainy, this camp had high spirited staff and campers. Close by to the lower visitor centers and resorts, we had access to nearly anything we needed. An extremely good meatball sub at the pizza/pasta restaurant, with a great view of the mountains. Overall no complaints about the campsite; would definitely return here.

Restrooms were ok, running water is always a plus. Site was nice and campers were considerate, generators were off before 10. Picnic table and fire pit were in good condition.

I spent 5 nights here and couldn’t have asked for a better basecamp to explore Grand Teton National Park.
While the campground is fairly basic without extensive facilities or luxury amenities, it is exceptionally well-maintained, clean, and organized. The sites are clearly marked and spaced well enough to give you a real sense of nature and quiet after a full day out on the trails.
A huge plus is the check-in setup: if you arrive late after hours, the system is clear and completely hassle-free. The information board at the entrance has straightforward instructions, maps, and campsite tags posted, making it easy to find your assigned spot and settle in smoothly without any confusion in the dark.

Bathrooms are kept clean, the bear box is very useful, there is a lot of wildlife to see and the view is good.

Always a great campground. Volunteer staff and rangers all excellent and friendly. Campground facilities definitely showing the signs of the current administrations starvation of maintenance and repair resources. Great place to see moose wandering through!
