Double wide spots. Great chance at seeing wild life especially driving into the camp along the river. Clean restrooms!

Gros Ventre Campground is a beautiful and well-maintained location with friendly staff, clean restrooms, and easy access to the nearby river and wildlife, making it ideal for campers. Many visitors appreciate the campground's peaceful atmosphere, spacious sites, and convenient check-in process. While some sites may have rocky terrain and the lack of showers is noted, the overall experience is positive, with many recommending it as a great base for exploring the Grand Tetons.

Very nice Nat. Forest campground with good water and flush toilets. Much shade and vegetation with nearby river.

Beautiful, spacious sites. There is a big hill that blocks the view of the Tetons but it is such a nice campground and the staff was wonderful at check in

Big campground and the sites spaciousness seemed to vary a bit, but site 230 is one of the best ones there- you will not be disappointed.
Facilities were very clean.
The walk to the river is nice and we saw a moose grazing there!

The camp hosts where very knowledgeable and help when we checked it. The campground was very clean a d appealing. The only problem we had was the campsite was not large enough for our 30' fifth wheel and full sized truck. We had to park away from our site which was not very convenient

We had site 15 which is a back in site. We were in a 36 ft fifth wheel. Plenty of room for that but parking for the truck was tight. Campground was very quiet. Two days we had moose walk right behind our camper. There are ranger talks each evening at the amphitheater which we found enjoyable and informative. There is a dump station with two spaces. We would definitely stay here again.

Had an excellent camping experience at Gros Ventre campground. I wish they would do a better job with photos of the campsites to help with showing the campsite size and layout at time of booking, as there were three of us with two tents and the website was confusing. It states, "Tent sites allow for up to two tents and two vehicles. Not all sites are able to accommodate two tents. Guests will need to review site specific information for maximum number of tents permitted in individual sites." So, when we called, they told us they didn't have any more information than the website. At least designate sites as DBL if they can accommodate two tents. We were in site G, 362...a close, convenient walk to the bathrooms. The highlight of stay - a huge Bull Moose walked directly through our campsite on our last morning...a little scary given how aggressive they can be, but so awesome to see one that up close & personal at the same time! I will say, the firewood and kindling is very overpriced at check-in facility, so I recommend you purchase ahead of time and bring with you if time and space in your vehicle allows. All said, we would camp in the same spot again!

It’s easy to find my campsite. We didn’t use any amenities because we arrived late and left early in the morning. The campground was very quiet.
