Gros Ventre Campground is a beautiful and well-maintained location with friendly staff, clean restrooms, and easy access to the nearby river and wildlife, making it ideal for campers. Many visitors appreciate the campground's peaceful atmosphere, spacious sites, and convenient check-in process. While some sites may have rocky terrain and the lack of showers is noted, the overall experience is positive, with many recommending it as a great base for exploring the Grand Tetons.

bathrooms far. No water and a weird off limits "employees" loop which seemed to have very expensive RVs and Trailers in it not explained!

We were there with our two children ages 4 and 7 and we all really enjoyed it. The fall colors made it even extra special. Our site also had a small view to the great Tetons. Overall we enjoyed our stay and we would come back again for sure.

Beautiful campgrounds, we got to watch the leaves change color throughout the few days we were there, which was really nice. It is a little noisy at night, some people don’t like to respect the quiet hours, which is a little annoying and extremely early in the morning, people are quite loud, which doesn’t help when you’re one of the only people in a tent. Definitely needs more consideration for thy neighbor. Staff is really friendly and nice super clean too so I definitely recommend, just get some earplugs lol.

Beautiful campground. Nice park rangers. The evening program at the park amphitheater was informative.

We were in 198D. D loop has electric hookups. Had to put front wheels on three boards to level. Campground is beautiful. Cottonwoods at their fall peak last week of September. Moose were present just down the road from the campground every day. Three days they were right in our campground. Bathrooms fine. No issues.

I love this campground. If you want a view, you will want A loop or EC Corridor. The moose weren't as plentiful this year as in year's past - but we did see them - and it's exciting every time! The people at check in were friendly and helpful!! My only negative with this campground is the Dump/Fill station. I thought when they had it all torn up 2 years ago, they were going to put in a proper sanitation station. However, they didn't change anything at the dump and fill station itself!! It's a real bottle neck the way they have it laid out! Definitely room for improvement there. Other than that, I love this campground!!! This is our 3rd time there!!

Gros Ventre is a campground we have stayed at before this visit and we cannot wait to stay again. Access to the area’s scenic drives and bikes, location near enough to town to not feel isolated but far enough away from crowds and noise, and the friendliest camp hosts are the things that will bring us back.

My wife there two nights while exploring the Tetons. We found our site to be very level and easy to find.

There is a lot to like about this campground (by the way, its name is pronounced like ‘grow vaunt’). The campsites are spacious with lots of space between them. The sites are mostly level, the restrooms are clean and the campground hosts (there’s quite a few of them) are friendly and helpful. It’s well forested with narrow-leafed willow. There’s potable water and a dump station plus a small store where you can buy ice and a few other things but there are no showers.
From the campground map, it’s hard to tell which campsites have views of the Grand Tetons and, unfortunately, there are only a handful of campsites that have good views. These are on the east side of the campground, numbering mostly in the 70s.
The Gros Ventre River runs along the edge of the campground and it’s very beautiful although there are no campsites on its edge. My wife loved this campground, calling it one of her favorites.
