Gros Ventre Campground is a beautiful and well-maintained location with friendly staff, clean restrooms, and easy access to the nearby river and wildlife, making it ideal for campers. Many visitors appreciate the campground's peaceful atmosphere, spacious sites, and convenient check-in process. While some sites may have rocky terrain and the lack of showers is noted, the overall experience is positive, with many recommending it as a great base for exploring the Grand Tetons.

Nice campground, even though there are a large number of sites they are spaced ou reasonable distance. Bathrooms were clean and functional

The facility is really poor, the restroom are too far away. The sink looks terrible. The campground has lots of pests.

Gros Ventre never disappoints. The location is great for exploring GTNP, and avoiding the hustle and bustle of the resort town.

Very clean and well run campground. Enjoyed the ranger talk at the amphitheater and river access from the campground.

Check in process is smooth, staff are very professional and friendly. Campground is quite conveniently located.
Camp site we stayed at (372G) was really not very enjoyable. While it was on the end of the loop, so a couple less neighbors, it was right next to a junction of 2 roads, so lots of cars going by all the time. The site is all rocks and loose dirt no grass or gravel for the tent unless you squeezed your tent into the car slot with your car, which was nicer gravel. Only a little shade, only in the afternoon. Bathroom was nearby and people frequently walked through our camp to cut the corner to the bathroom. This site would really benefit from the construction of a tent pad covering the rocks and dirt.

I have been coming to this campground, my entire adult life and I am 66 now. It used to be a first come first served campground, and you never knew if you were going to have a site or not. I love the reservation system now and I love the fact that you can put in a request for any cancellations because people cancel all the time. It is a beautiful campground with lots of shade. There are very few sites that are not great and the campground hosts are wonderful as well. Highly recommend as a gateway to the Tetons.
