Gros Ventre Campground is a beautiful and well-maintained location with friendly staff, clean restrooms, and easy access to the nearby river and wildlife, making it ideal for campers. Many visitors appreciate the campground's peaceful atmosphere, spacious sites, and convenient check-in process. While some sites may have rocky terrain and the lack of showers is noted, the overall experience is positive, with many recommending it as a great base for exploring the Grand Tetons.

We always enjoy camping at Gros Ventre. Given all of the people, it is incredibly quiet.

Nice campground, well positioned in the park. The bathrooms were very clean, and the staff at the check in were very friendly.

We loved being right outside the Grand Teton National Park at Gros Ventre, and the views of the mountains and a short walk to the Gros Ventre river were highlights of the trip! The bathrooms were clean and there is drinking water at the bathrooms to fill water containers. Also a positive is that each campsite had a large bear box for food.
The negative feedback of this campground is that there are no showers (we knew this going in). For $60 a night this is a pretty pricey primitive campsite. Our specific site (320) was very very small for our family of 6 and we could not find a large enough spot that was level for our tent. We did have a 10 person tent, so maybe a smaller tent would have been ok here, but we were sleeping at a decline and my boys slid down the tent each night. They didn’t mind as much as I did, and playing in the river behind the campground was so much fun for them! We still had an amazing trip, but I’m not sure we would camp here again or try to book a larger spot earlier.

Great location. Clean spaces, clean toilets, fresh water. relatively quiet given it's a campground with hundreds of sites. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Evening ranger hour is a nice treat for learning about the area.
