Gros Ventre Campground is a beautiful and well-maintained location with friendly staff, clean restrooms, and easy access to the nearby river and wildlife, making it ideal for campers. Many visitors appreciate the campground's peaceful atmosphere, spacious sites, and convenient check-in process. While some sites may have rocky terrain and the lack of showers is noted, the overall experience is positive, with many recommending it as a great base for exploring the Grand Tetons.

Very pretty and walkable park. Active bear and moose sitings, so we were on guard. Bear boxes at every site. Large RV parking and public restrooms. Beautiful views of the mountains.

We absolutely love Gros Ventre! We’ve been coming for 5 years. The campground & camp sites are always kept free of trash, bathrooms are very nice & clean. The bathrooms are conveniently located in every loop. The camp hosts are very informative, friendly & very observant with visitors blocking the camp roads stopping to observe wildlife! They continue to remind people to keep a safe distance as well. Gros Ventre offers both electric sites, along with sites where generators are allowed at certain times of the day. Water spigots are located near the restrooms. There are 2 dump stations but unfortunately, they are staggered. If the one in front finishes before the one behind, it’s often difficult for another rig to get by. The one potable water fill is a few yards in front of the front dump station. There is often a wait for that. Also, making it difficult to maneuver around.

just an ok campground. tight sites no privacy.. for a campground that large the dump station was a joke and there was only one! water spigot that ran at a dribble.

Love the campground, and it is kept up very well. Close to the southern portion of the park, so a great place to stay to be close to the best areas in GTNP to catch a beautiful sunrise.

Clean and quiet at least during the Fall. We woke up to Moose in the meadow one morning. They do have some rules, but it is a National Park. Reservations go fast so book early to avoid having to move sites!
