Firehole Canyon Campground

This is a great campground with an amazing view. Sites are spacious and most have amazing views. Bathrooms were clean and serviceable.

USFS campground contracted to American Land and Leisure. AL&L is ignoring this site. No evidence of a host (decrepit host site, weeds) in recent history despite signage to the contrary. Trash dumpsters were emptied, potable (?, not sock yet anyway hahaha) water available. Facility needs some TLC but great spot with killer views and access to the Green/Flaming Gorge. Sites are immediately adjacent to one another with parking side by side on the same paved pad and a partition wall in the sun and picnic shelter. Tent pads. Walk to baths which were locked sometime the afternoon of 9/2 after we paid. $33/night single site unless you have a discount. Not a bargain but access to water is nice in the desert.
Night sky was fantastic. Rabbits, coyotes, one unconfirmed rattler down by the beach in the grass.

Well maintained forest service campground in a gorgeous (pun intended) setting in Flaming Gorge national recreation area! Clean bathrooms with flush toilets and a shower. Easy access to the lake for swimming or boating. Each campsite has a covered shelter with a picnic table, fire ring, and level parking pad. Well worth taking a scenic drive off the interstate to stop here. We’d definitely stay here again.

This is a campground. Very impressed with each campsite having a covered picnic table. The spots were a bit rocky, bring pads. It was also eerie at night with how quiet it was. No city lights to disturb your star gazing. Would go again for sure.

Great place to go for solitude and great views!
There was drinking water at the dump station, so fill-up before you roll-into camp. No electricity, but it cooled-off enough at night, so we didn’t need to use our generator to run the air conditioning. Nearby (~50 ft away) was a restroom with flushing toilets, though no showers. Very few other campers, only 3 other sites were occupied so we had the great views all to ourselves! T-Mobile didn’t have any service, so used our Starlink.
