Our camp hosts, Larry and Sherry (sp?) were fabulous and very friendly and helpful. Our site #15 was perfect. The campground facilities were clean. The location was close to many beautiful hikes and views. We very much enjoyed our time there and it was worth the 3.5 hour drive! It is one of our new "favorite places".

It has been close to 20 years since we last visited this area. Forgot how beautiful the area is.

Very beautiful campground, the camp hosts were very friendly and very helpful. The Forest Service had summer college crews upgrading many of the campsite pads with new rock and fire rings. Awesome campground.

We reserved a space for a 25' trailer. The space was ~90 degrees from the road and completely surrounded by trees, so it took a LOT of back and forth maneuvering to back it in, block the road the whole time. Same to get it out. Also, once the trailer was into the crummy small lot, there was zero room for our truck, chairs or anything else.
Do NOT rent this space to an RV any larger than ~18'.

Beautiful location, lots of trees, unlike other campgrounds. The camp ground host was very knowledgeable of the area and activities. Great trails to ride!

This is always the best campground. It’s always clean and the camp host is so friendly. The bathrooms are also always clean and have toilet paper and a light which is the best.

The campground host was very rude. He approached my daughter saying we had too many people and questioning whether we paid the correct amount. I made the reservation on the Recreation.gov site for 10 people with a pop-up camper and a tent, paying the fees prompted by the system (I believe it came to $15/night plus the admin fee). We ended up only having 4 adults and 2 small kids with the same pop-up and tent so why he felt we had too many people was frustrating.
Other people camping around us had similar experiences with the host being rude. Why does the USFS hire people like that to be campground hosts? At least the campground itself was nice.

Spacious sites, but can be hit or miss for tent camping (lots of rocks and roots). Site 24 was ok. Amazing open skies for stargazing.
