I was not able to stay here as our site was occupied when we got there. We wanted to talk to the Camp Host but they were nowhere to be found. At 6 pm on a Friday night is a poor time to abandon your post. We were told by the squatters that the host gave them our site. If that is true it's even worse experience, he had no right to give away our spot. We had it booked for weeks in advance. We arrived at about 5:30 so it's not like we were "late" and the people in the spot had been moved in for some time. Any who, be prepared to have issues and no one to help.

Nice place in a great and remote area, good spacing between the sites.

Roomy campsites with nice pit toilets. Quiet and the perfect distance from Saratoga Hot Springs and high lakes and trails.

Quiet and plenty of space. Bathrooms clean. The creek nearby is nice for a birdy bath or cleaning dishes, but cold!! Lots of deadfall to use for firewood but you’ll need a hefty axe or saw. The host was present but not needed during my stay. No complaints and better than expected.

Sites were decent. Some sites were back in sites, while others are drive in sites (i.e. RV). Pay attention when making your reservations. The sites were pretty close together and are unpaved. There was no running water when we visited this past August. It would have been nice if the we had been notified about the water in advance. The scenery is worth it during the summer. There is a short hike in the campground. Further up the mountain there is numerous small glacial lakes, some hiking, and vistas. It was well worth the visit. I will come back again.

Quiet comfortable campground, maybe the cleanest pit toilets I've ever seen. Nice site spacing, good bit of trees, not windy like higher elevations. Very dark skies to see stars.
Like many others that I'm only now seeing, I can't believe this site still says there's potable water even though there hasn't been for months or maybe years. It would have been easy for us to bring it if we had known, but instead we were scrambling our first night.

Very noisy, we left because campers next to us had loud music playing and camp host would do nothing about it.

love this gem of a spot sad to see the dead pines but this is a great forest that isn’t on most peoples travel list

The campground host was extremely helpful in resolving a water leak in our trailer. The pit toilets were spotless. This campground is a good spot to base hikes in and around the area. The views of the nearby mountains were spectacular from several locations along the highway over the pass.
