Island Park Campground is praised for its cleanliness, particularly the well-maintained bathrooms, and offers a beautiful setting near a creek, perfect for fishing and wildlife watching, including moose sightings. Reviewers appreciated the friendly and helpful campground host, Deb, despite the absence of a host during some visits. Some minor issues were noted, such as water quality concerns and noise from large groups, but overall, visitors expressed a strong desire to return to this charming and rustic campground.

Always a wonderful camping experience at Island Park. The bathroom facilities we spotless, it was very obvious that a lot of hard work had gone into the daily maintenance by the camp host.

Our stay at Island Park was fantastic! The scenery is amazing, it’s quiet, the camp host is friendly, and the bathroom (pit toilet) was super clean. It’s close to town (Tensleep) and to West Tensleep Lake so we were able to explore both. We will definitely go back!
