Had a wonderful stay at this RV and Campground full of personality. Welcomed by the warm and friendly host (and his canine compatriot) on our arrival. Eelevated campsite and excellent facilities (indoor shower, sink, toilet, laundry). Before we left we said our goodbye to a motley and rambunctious crew of pheasants, ducks, hens, roosters, turkeys (and goats and such) that run the northeastern corner of the park.

Wyatt was extremely welcoming, we went in April when it wasn't busy and even though there were other people staying there we felt like we had the place to ourselves. The sites are spacious and the bath/laundry house is clean and rustic. We enjoyed visiting the critters as well and its not very far at all to run back to town for a dip in the hotsprings. Really appreciated the fresh eggs too! We only stayed one night because our dog came up with a mystery lameness that was most certainly caused by his lack of brain cells and so I wanted to head home since he couldn't walk or do most of the things we had planned to do (he is doing better though). We loved the relaxed atmosphere and how welcoming to pets this park was. We popped over to the Fountain of Youth RV park for some time in their hotsprings (we weren't aware the state park was free) and it was only 2 minutes down the road from Crippled Spider. And we were glad we were camped at Crippled Spider and not there, even if it did cost extra for the hotsprings!

If you're looking for an RV spot or a good place to pitch the tent for visiting Thermopolis, this is where you want to go. Very excellent management of park. Very nice RV spots (from the look of it, we pitched a tent) and good places for the tent. Very nice bath house recently built. Women's and men's both have 2 stalls, showers and sinks. Double laundry in main area with kitchen sink. They did a good job on it you know? I'm pretty sure they're doubling their ranch with this so there's an active field right behind the park but they also keep the animals ready for petting zoo for the children! We went back in August and brought our 3 year old daughter, she loved it! They have food readily available to feed the critters and everything. They provide firewood for you and even some freshly picked eggs in the morning! They're just outside town enough and hidden behind the butte that they have very little light pollution, very good view of the stars and milky way on site. For what it's worth to those reading this far, we were treated to very good hospitality and had a great experience.
Wish I'd taken more pictures but I am hesitant to publish my daughter on these things

Took a spontaneous roadtrip through WY and needed a last-minute place to stay (in our camper) near Thermopolis. Found the RV park online and called Wyatt, who he had a space for us right away; he said we'd settle-up in the morning. The laid-back attitude was a relief and not only were the bathrooms/showers/laundry in great shape, but we had hand-delivered, fresh farm eggs for breakfast, courtesy of Wyatt's chickens and 4-wheeling ranch hand.
Crippled Spider is the registered brand name of Wyatt's cattle ranch, and it looks like an rotund oval with three legs at the bottom; hence "crippled spider". The owner, Wyatt, is a down-to-earth guy and is making a very comfortable RV park right off of US-20. I recommend without hesitation. We ended up staying two more nights...

We camped at the Crippled Spider for one night while on our long 5500 mile road and have to say, it may have been the ultimate highlight of our trip! The owner, Wyatt, was super welcoming and friendly. Our kids had a blast petting and feeding all the animals and Wyatt even let them into the goat pen for more interaction, which they were super excited about. I definitely recommend anyone traveling through to stay at this campground and if we're ever back in the area, we would 100% go back here. Very new and clean bathrooms, showers, and laundry areas were an added bonus!
