A FEW FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS: Q: Is Olathe Ford who we would be renting it from? A: We are owned by Olathe Ford, but your RV rental would be through our RV location in Gardner, KS—not Olathe, KS. Q: Do we need to add insurance like AAA? A: The RV comes with state minimum liability, comp, collision, fire and theft. Roadside assistance is provided through RVshare (last I checked, this could have changed). Q: Do you charge extra for mileage? A: Yes. You get 100 miles per night free. So, a 4 night rental gets 400 miles free. Each additional mile is $0.59/mile. Mileage is paid by the renter upon the return of the RV. Q: Would we be able to pick up earlier than 3pm? A: Usually, yes. We schedule all rentals by appointment on the day that you book. Appointment times are first come, first booked... so if an earlier time (for example, 9:00 AM) is already booked, it won't be available to choose from. Q: Are there any other RV Rental locations near North KC that you own? A: We only have one RV rental location. We are owned by Olathe Ford, but we are located in Gardner, KS—about 40 minutes south of North Kansas City. Q: Do you provide emptying the tanks when we return or do we have to already have them emptied before we return the vehicle? Thank you. Is there an extra fee for that? A: We recommend you dump them when you are leaving and use them on the way home. We will dump them for you one final time for no additional fee. Q: Looks like there's $1000 deposit with an additional PREP FEE? What's a Prep Fee include? A: The prep fee covers several items to ensure the RV is fully ready for your trip, including a dump hose, water hose, propane, a 45-minute training walk-through, and insurance. We also handle the tank dump when the RV is returned. For travel trailers, the prep fee additionally includes the hitch, ball, and sway control. Q: Can we leave our car at the location while we are traveling? Is there a fee for that? A: Yes, you may leave one (1) personal vehicle at our location during your rental at no additional charge. Q: If we decided we wanted to rent it one more day do we need to notify you in advance? A: Yes—please let me know as soon as possible. The RV may already be booked for another customer, so extensions are subject to availability. All of our RVs & Trailers are WINTERIZED between Mid-to-Late October and Early-to-Mid March. Depending on weather conditions, this period may be longer or shorter. (When an RV is winterized, the water system is not operational. Plumbing is protected with RV antifreeze to prevent freeze damage, so sinks, showers, and toilets cannot be used.)
