What Guests Are Saying

Owl's Nest Campground is praised for its cleanliness, large and level sites, and well-maintained bathrooms with hot showers. Guests appreciate the friendly atmosphere, attentive owner, and the bonus of a spacious dog park. While some noted minor inconveniences, such as limited bathroom hours and the extra charge for site confirmation, these did not detract from their overall positive experiences.

Great experience. We originally booked a spot with water and 30Amp (newbie RV folks). We also wanted sewer and realized that is what full service means. Phoned Trevor and he got us switched to right site. Also needed some printing done of documents we had to have and Trevor again hooked us up. Great service and the sites and very flat and tidy. Loved our stay!

We were travelling in early May and not a lot of campgrounds are open this time of year. We thought we'd check out Owls Nest and, if it was awful, we'd carry on to the KOA in Lethbridge. It was not the least bit awful! Clean, new washrooms, green grass, and the best part was that there is a great dog park adjoining the property. And half the price of the KOA. The only reason that I didn't give it 5/5 is because the trees are still small so if it was mid-summer there wouldn't be any shade. But they will grow eventually.

We enjoyed a 2 night stay here travelling across southern Alberta in June.
We appreciated the large sites, and space between neighbours, and tidy kept area in general. Bathrooms were extremely well kept, and hot showers too.
There are some seasonal stays here on the perimeter of the grounds, but everyone we passed was friendly. A few kids riding bikes too.
There is a big dog park next door (but not on your doorstep) but we are certain it is appreciated for furry travellers.
Coaldale is a terrific town. Everything at quick access, including a top notch bakery, food mart, and even seasonal farmer's market.
We would stay here again if passing through.

We stayed for a month and a half, great campground. The owner Trevor is as attentive as needed and friendly. Priced really well, the sites are large and long. The bathrooms are really nice (regular flushing toilets, sinks and free showers) and are cleaned regularly. The town dump station is there so easy dumping and potable water filling. We really felt at home here for a little while and will actually miss it haha. We would stay again for sure. Thanks again for everything Trevor!

We found the campground to be very clean. Large level sites, clear communication and clean bathrooms. We were in Lethbridge for a ball tournament and arrived back at our site a bit later. Would have liked to see the bathrooms open til 10 but it’s certainly not a deal breaker. The dog park was a definite bonus. It’s so large that our dog didn’t have to mingle with others if she didn’t want to. Highly recommend. They didn’t rule you to death but what rules there were, were communicated clearly. I don’t like having to pay extra to confirm the site we chose. If we weren’t camping with others I’m not sure I would have paid it but I really don’t understand that charge. Still gave a five star review as that didn’t hinder our stay.
