Staying in the A Loop nearest the river affords the best chances to have short walks to the water, peaceful moments and a meander over to the visitor center when not as busy - yet a place to be parked back at camp...campground volunteers are very communicative and helpful..

Check-in was very easy. I had no problems finding a parking spot in the lot. The only downside is the mosquitoes were VERY plentiful.

Very clean and my specific campsite at B52 felt a little private as there was tall bushes and grass surrounding 3 of the 4 sides. The showers were basic and not the hottest, but they were a nice relief after all day of hiking! The park ranges made their rounds twice and ensured i was ok and explained the safety precautions for the nearby bears.

Our site, C145, is very unlevel. We tried for an hour to get our 23' trailer level, but the best we could get was a bubble and a half off side to side and 2 bubbles off back to front. Halfway through the exercise, I went to the check-in station to see about moving to one of the open sites and was told that those were being kept open in case they needed to move campers due to bears.
This, combined with the new east side shuttle system not supporting hikers wishing to stop anywhere other than Logan Pass, led us to leave a day early. Note that the shuttle system makes it impossible for backcountry and Granite Chalet hikers to use the system as you have to book a new reservation the night before and pick up a new wrist band at the Visitor Center each day you ride. There are also several east side trailheads that used to be shuttle stops that no longer are being serviced by the shuttle. (All have very limited parking, so the appearance is that the park doesn't want hikers on these trails). Side Note: the shuttle staff were very helpful and the Rangers we talked to also shared our sentiments.

The campsite was nice and private. Leveled tent pad, good parking. Toilets are clean and showers are nice too. Overall, definitely recommend it.

Sites were pull through but not very long and had to share your exit with the next sites entry. Because of that, we had to ask the neighbors to pull their fifth wheel further up or we would not have been able to exit our site the next day. The rangers were very informative and involved throughout the day and they had talks most nights at the amphitheater. Juist inside the park at the east entrance of the GTTS road so a great place to stay while visiting Glacier.

Located a half-mile west of the St. Mary entrance near St. Mary, Montana. Access is from U.S. Highway 89 approximately 33 miles (51 km) northwest of Browning, Montana or over Logan Pass when open. Vehicle restrictions are in effect.

Policies & Rules
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
