I stayed in loop a I enjoyed my time here, and reserved multiple times.
Interpretive talks at the ampitheatre were awesome.
Convenient to the visitor center. Awesome evening events and talks. Clean facilities. Nice sites. Excellent, no; beyond excellent hosts. Brad came around each night, altering campers to food precautions and bear safety. Every day Jennifer would mark the sites. Basically, they were a presence, and you recognized them.
Park rangers usually made the rounds almost every day.
However, the music!! Loop a was closest to the in town bar. The only downside to this location was the loud and late music. After September 1, it seemed like a green light to let loose with techno rock and rave music. That 100% ruined the quiet.

Glacier National Park is amazing. We always prefer camping inside National Parks whenever we can get a reservation. This was the first time we were able to get a site at St Mary Campground. We drive a 33 ft Class A Motorhome towing a Jeep. The sites at St Mary are a little tight for our size rig but we made it work. We saw a grizzly bear inside the campground so please be bear aware when camping here.

it was a great relief to last minute get 2 nights at st marys. it was what we needed. the only improvement i would give it is the shower heads needed some attention but again we were just happy to have a last minute shower. thanks nps 🙏

Great campground! Nothing particularly special as far as the campground itself. It does have showers and warm water. But its location is perfect for exploring the whole park. Easy in and out, and the camp host was awesome while I was there early September of ‘26.

This is a wonderful campground. Many of the sites are pull-through, so even though they aren't large it was easy to access with my small trailer and I saw quite a variety of camping equipment there. The campground has hot showers, bathrooms, and a designated place to dump dishwater, as well as a RV wastewater dump (I didn't need to use). There are footpaths to the nearby Visitor's Center -- where they have nightly presentations by rangers and guest speakers. There is one grocery store nearby, or you can drive to Browning MT for more grocery options.

Difficult to access wi-fi and access the rec.gov. I had to call the reservations from ranger station at Mini Glacier just to book site because unable to access website.

It was a great location to stay for two nights. It was very quiet and clean, including the restrooms. One day, I easily hiked in the Many Glacier area, and the next day start my travel across the Going-to-the-Sun Road.

Located a half-mile west of the St. Mary entrance near St. Mary, Montana. Access is from U.S. Highway 89 approximately 33 mi (31.7 mi) northwest of Browning, Montana or over Logan Pass when open. Vehicle restrictions are in effect.

Policies & Rules
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
