What Guests Are Saying

Newgate Sandy Shores Campground is a fantastic RV park offering a variety of sites for RVs, tents, and pop-ups, all set in a beautiful location in BC. The campground features essential amenities, including a general store and an ice cream shop, and is perfect for water activities like boating and fishing. While some sites lack shade and can get hot in the evening sun, the seasonal sites are highly praised for their tree cover, making it a popular destination for campers.

Anazing spot! Nice beach. Only problem is , it may be the most expensive camping spot in Western Canada. $75/night with no hook ups or amenities. Firewood extra, wifi extra, etc......basicly no free amenities. For $75/night i would expect a gold plated picnic table and free massage or something ! 😃 .

Such a nice place no service camp ground but have good generator hours. You need it due to it always seeming to get hot at 4 and its nice to run ac. Real nice boat launch but no docks so u need to pull your boat at night or find open beach to park. Wind always seems to blow at 3 for a couple hours. Awesome sandy beaches and great swimming. Gets deep fast but not so fast kids can use it. A little store on site for ice and ice cream. Some essentials but not much

Love to go here for the beach, its sandy and the weather its amazing. You'll need an RV, but also you can add to your lot any tent, and there is no extra charge for extra people coming with you. The only downturn is that you'll need a generator there is no electricity on your spot neither water, you can load water in the entrance, and after they can reload it for you, its like 35 CAD. They do have public bathrooms, and its a loony for 5 minutes to shower, it can get a little busy to use bu its not too bad. There is an ice cream store with foothills ice cream and got ice, and a few little things. I will recommend to get everything from Fernie, or even you can go to Cranbrook to get anything you need, its like an 1 hour if I am not mistaken.

It's an RV park, not a hotel. It's pretty great. The general store has most of the basics if you run out. There's free wifi that's pretty limited, and you'll need it because you're right next to the border. The seasonly sites are AMAZING with plenty of tree cover. The weekly use sites however don't have any and they DESPERATELY need some. Some of the rows of sites are faced into the evening sun, so you just bake as night approaches. Only complaint.
