LaHave River Campground

As always, we loved our stay at Lahave River Campground. We were in serviced lot 44 on River Road. The river was exceptional this year....so relaxing! Tubing down from the dock to the swimming hole and vice versa was definitely the highlight. BUT, those bathrooms??! Wow! Great job guys...that is the first time I've been back since they were renovated. The showers were so amazing. It made tenting so easy. Having the purchased firewood kit there when we arrived was awesome, too. I recommend getting that before you show up. We didn't participate but had fun watching everyone playing "Capture the Flag." Everything is clean and manicured. The staff are soooo friendly. Just overall...you will not be disappointed here :)

We absolutely LOVED our stay at LaHave campground. Shower and bathroom facilities were clean, staff were friendly and we enjoyed the river and taking the paddle board out for a quick little paddle and float. We also loved how small the campground was and that our section was empty for a few nights during our stay so we didn’t hear much except the owls, coyotes and river flowing. It was peaceful and absolutely what we needed to “slow” down and enjoy ourselves. We can’t wait to return! ☺️ Also, they had “curbside eats” food truck in one of the days and the food was absolutely delicious and was a nice little break from “camping” food .

This was our first time camping at LaHave River Campground. We booked a cabin and could not have been more pleased! The size of the cabin was perfect for the two of us with our dog. I loved the screened in deck and all the little spots to be able to put out our belongings. Having a mini fridge, a microwave and a fan was a nice surprise. The bed was very comfortable. We didn’t use the top bunk, but I could see that as a nice option for a family with children.
The campground had some pleasant surprises that other campgrounds don’t offer. The shower/bathroom area was very well designed and clean. I loved the Shelter area for meeting people, darts, and entertainment. The dog park was a great spot to let our dog run off leash. The swimming hole was amazing! It’s nicely designed and having a sandy bottom was such a relief. Our dog loved the swimming hole as well. There were so many places to walk and see. The staff and resident campers were extremely friendly as well. I would highly recommend this campground and we will definitely be back!

We have the most amazing stay at Lahave River Campground every year. We usually book a rental trailer as the value is sooo worth it for what you get. Fully stocked, SO CLEAN, conveniently located to the rest of the amenities of the park. Owners/staff are so accommodating and helpful, they hooked us up with a wood delivery after hours when we forgot the store closed early, and came immediately to figure out why an outlet wasn't working. I can't recommend this place enough, my mom and I are planning to take my kids every summer ❤️

My family and I just stumbled upon this gem of a campground!

We were impressed by the landscape, hidden places to explore, great swimming spots, clean bathrooms with them good showers. But it was the people that made the trip most special for us. They have a kind, accommodating staff which brought a beautiful collage of personality to this outdoor space, we will definitely be back!
