The dark haired lady at the check in booth was extremely rude. We vacated our camping site by the noon check out time and then went for a short hike. She tried to insist we pay another $8 fee for the day use. Nowhere was that stated in the booking email or the paper we were given at check in. She kept saying that the noon check out time should have let us know that we owed another $8 if we were anywhere on the property past noon. We stay at many state parks and that has not been the case there. I looked online after we left and see that this campground is run by a “consessionair” and not by the state. Love the campground but this might make us reconsider staying here again.

Went on a very hot weekend in July. Campground was well maintained. Campsite had great shade. Lots of poison ivy all around campground including around trees at camp site
